Job Description:
JOB SCOPE This position reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for maintaining the quality system and related process documentation.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS A.
General:
Associates Degree in a related field of study is preferred but not required.
Certified Quality Engineer or Equivalent preferred but not required.
A minimum of five to ten years of hands:
on experience in automotive manufacturing.
Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
Some in:
house product consultant experience, and familiarity with ISO:
14001/TS:
16949 quality standards are also preferred.
Strong people skills; must be able to lead, delegate, instruct, counsel, coordinate, and correct.
Well developed oral and written communication skills; strong listening and negotiation skills.
B.
Essential Job Functions:
Conducts root cause analysis for internal and external quality problems.
Responsible for the planning, development, and execution of inspection systems, gauging, processes, including inspection instructions, control plans, quality plans, and PPAP's.
Responsible for assisting manufacturing team in root cause analysis and problem resolution for manufacturing processes.
Responsible for analysis of warranty parts and problems including part disposition and corrective actions.
Serves as liaison between Company and Customer for quality related issues.
Responsible for supplier quality issues, reporting, and assisting in supplier corrective actions Green/Black Belt, a plus but not required.
Experience with Automotive Tier I,II, or III, is a plus.
Experience with APQP Process, a plus.
Performs other tasks as directed by the Quality Manager.
