Summary:
This position technically supports production by managing and conducting plant maintenance including instillation and repair of equipment and working with production personnel to assist in continuous improvement of production capabilities and efficient operations.
Responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems.
The job requires monitoring maintenance performance and implementing processes, procedures, and methods to improve results in all key functional areas.
The job is responsible for implementing and maintaining best manufacturing practices and regulatory compliance for all maintenance activities.
Education Requirements:
Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience Primary
Responsibilities:
Coordinate maintenance scheduling to meet production demands, to manage overtime, and to reduce costs.
Meet or exceed plant productivity, cost, or other performance metric expectations as outlined by plant manager.
Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction.
Hire, train, direct and mentor staff and employees with diverse language, cultural and educational background.
Develop subordinates through education, training, and teamwork.
Ensure preventive maintenance program is implemented and maintained.
Coordinate plant equipment maintenance and repair.
Support machine installation or removal as needed.
Experience Requirements:
Five (5) years of skilled maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment which must have included one (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing and other related systems; perform various maintenance tasks as needed.
Ability to inspect, operate and maintain the heating, cooling and ventilation system and the boiler system.
Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions, working independently while performing major repairs and overhauls.
Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to prepare required reports and record maintenance activities.
