Inbound Receiver - Sysco Gulf Coast

Responsibilities:
General
Summary:
Performs product receiving activities, operates and maintains equipment associated with warehouse activity and performs other related duties as required. Control flow of products being received into the warehouse. Essential Duties:
Ensures that the count of product received matches the count ordered and that product is not damaged in any way. Ensures that no damaged or otherwise inferior quality product is accepted and report discrepancies to the warehouse manager. Selects appropriate size of
pallet to place products for storage to enhance storage function. Places product on pallets using the correct stacking and securing techniques to reduce product damage. Notifies stocker of products ready for storage in an effort to enhance the efficiency of the receiving function. Equipment Operation:
Ensures that assigned equipment is maintained and clean; reports repair or service needs to manager in an effort to reduce equipment damage. Plugs equipment into power source when no
t in use to ensure the availability of fully operational equipment.

Basic Requirements:
2 years of warehouse experience required Must be able to life 50 pounds regularly, 75 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds rarely. Must pass mandatory ergonomics testing. Other

Must be able to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close vision and distance vision Work Environment:
Works in a warehouse environment with various levels of temperature and noise Additional Information:
