Summary:
Essential Functions:
1. Will perform electrical engineering controls work on process machinery in amanufacturing environment, exercising independent judgment and actions 2. Will apply sound principles and techniques to the troubleshooting of process manufacturing equipment 3. Will plan and support the installation of process equipment modifications including the management of schedules and costs, track equipment downtime and occurrence frequency, and develop prevent
ative/predictive programs to improve performance 4. Will perform day-to-day direct support of Process Controls Electronics Technicians in solving moderate to complex problems 5. solutions to eliminate failures 6 Will respond to prioritized production problems in a timely manner 7. Will observe, mentor, and train Process Control Technicians to improve troubleshooting abilities 8. 9. May assist with specifications of controls for new equipment purchases REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of plant utilities, equipment, and their uses to perform specific tasks 2. Knowledge of measuring equipment, tools, and instrumentation to monitor and gather data for decision-making 3. Knowledge of design techniques and principles for use in the proper specification, installation, and commissioning of process control equipment 4. Knowledge of basic math skills needed to support job functions such as arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, and statistics etc. 5. Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NFPA requirements for manufacturing environments 6 Knowledge of programming and troubleshooting of multiple PLCs; including Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, and Siemens 7 Programming and troubleshooting knowledge of AC and DC motor drives; including Siemens, Control Techniques and Allen Bradley 8 Knowledge of applications and troubleshooting of various field I/O devices 9. Knowledge of use of electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, power supplies, frequency generators, infrared camera, ultrasonic tester etc) 10. Knowledge of AutoCAD operations ACCEPTABLE EDUCATION:
1. Prefer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics from an Accredited College or University ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND
Experience:
1. Prefer 3 to 7 years Electrical Engineering/Controls experience in a manufacturing environment 2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD applications 3. Prefer a Green Belt certification and a working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and application of Lean Tools Source:
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
